AlpenJodSalz
Our AlpenJodSalz, made of pure brine from alpine sources, supplies the human body with iodine, a valuable mineral. This important trace element is a key building block of thyroid hormones which the body cannot make on its own.
Iodine plays an important role in many metabolic processes within our bodies, most of which are related to normal growth and brain development.
However, many people in Germany do not get a sufficient supply of iodine, especially children, teenagers and women, who should make sure to get enough iodine in particular if they are pregnant or nursing. Vegetarians and vegans are also at a particularly high risk of suffering from an iodine deficiency.
